When semiconductor manufacturers seek reliability within their cleanrooms, one name consistently stands out—KM Corp.

For over three decades, KM Corp has powered the world’s leading fabs with the invisible foundation every chip process depends on—absolute cleanliness. As a single-source partner for cleanroom consumables, from gloves and garments to wipers and rollers, it enables manufacturers to maintain the precision-controlled environments essential to advanced semiconductor production.

Its polyester and microfiber wipers set the benchmark for cleanroom performance. Each variant, whether single-layer, double-knit, nylon/polyester blend or cellulose-nonwoven, is engineered for a defined application, from particle-sensitive wafer cleaning to solvent-heavy surface prep. Offered in dry, pre-saturated or gamma-sterilized forms, they deliver consistent strength and purity, batch after batch.

“What separates us is how we design, test and validate every product as one connected system. That’s how we eliminate weak links and make reliability something our customers never have to think about,” says Brian, overseas sales department.

That system thinking begins inside KM’s own cleanroom laboratories, where engineers recreate real fab conditions to observe contamination patterns firsthand. Every insight—how particles behave, how materials respond and how solvents interact—feeds back into wiper design, making sure each product performs exactly as the process demands.

Deep integration between R&D and production keeps KM’s wiper range in constant evolution. Some innovations begin with a single customer challenge. When clients asked for a pre-saturated wipe that could last longer on the shelf, the team engineered a patented dual-pack system that isolates the solvent until activation, preventing fiber leaching and non-volatile residue.

Others emerged from field observation. As visual inspection became more demanding, KM developed a black polyester wiper pigmented at the polymer level, allowing even the smallest particles to stand out clearly under magnification. And to help fabs balance speed with stringent cleanliness, Hybrid Edge Wipers now merge thermal and ultrasonic sealing for both purity and efficiency. The newest laser-cut versions push that precision even further, delivering distortion-free edges that extend wipe life and reduce requalification cycles.

Behind these advances runs a rigorous quality management backbone. Every batch carries a lot number tied to its entire process history, from washing frequency and detergent composition to drying temperature and batch size, ensuring full traceability from start to shipment. Before any product leaves KM’s facilities, it passes more than ten inspection points verifying particle, fiber and ionic contamination levels, along with non-volatile residues. As a result, every product that leaves KM’s facilities performs exactly as intended.

KM’s ongoing research into fiber materials and edge treatments ensures its products evolve with the increasing demands of semiconductor manufacturing. Each new fabric composition is tested for particle shedding, absorbency and durability under the same standards fabs use on-site. Using liquid and airborne particle counters, friction tests and solvent extractions, engineers evaluate how every change behaves in real production environments. The data is fed back into the manufacturing process.

No matter the challenge, KM approaches it like an engineer, with a problem-solving mindset. When cleanroom operators at client facilities began reporting fatigue during long shifts and discomfort caused by poor ventilation, especially in the summer, KM’s team developed the Clean Boot, a lightweight, cushioned and breathable shoe designed for use in controlled environments. What started as a pilot for a handful of operators quickly proved its value, and today it commands an estimated 95 percent market share among KM’s key customers.

For fabs planning process upgrades or qualification runs, KM offers more than samples. The company provides a data-backed evaluation process, where lab-tested results are directly mapped to your cleanroom conditions. From edge type to residue profile, every variable is reviewed before implementation. Because in an industry where a particle can decide a product’s fate, reliability is not optional. It’s engineered, and that’s what KM delivers.
