Electronic chips are gaining importance across industries with the increasing use of semiconductor components in various applications, from home appliances and cars to industrial equipment like smartphones, computers, and data centres. However, the industry struggled to cope with skyrocketing demand over the last two years due to pandemic-driven disruptions and macroeconomic changes in the global market. These factors hinder innovation in semiconductor foundries worldwide, driving the need for a reliable partner to de-risk value chain processes, boost R&D initiatives, and enable businesses to reach their product deadlines.

Bypassing these issues with its proven supply chain competencies and comprehensive portfolio of wireless design solutions in the semiconductor arena is Adveos.

Founded in 2015, Adveos is a fabless semiconductor company developing wireless System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions with premium quality and high performance for a variety of applications including but not limited to consumer electronics, industrial and automotive. The company offers SoC solutions through its expertise in analog and digital integrated circuit (IC) design with multi-million gate realization, system engineering and embedded software development for real-time applications on resource-constrained devices.
Adveos originated with a bootstrapped investment from its founders as a design service vendor and intellectual property (IP) company, eventually becoming a product company. Adopting a hybrid business model that blends ASIC design capabilities with IP core development, Adveos expanded its portfolio from RF and analog communication solutions to wireless technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

An essential client collaboration during this time was Adveos’ project with Beken, a Chinese multinational wireless communication company that acquired the semiconductor company in 2020 after realizing its market potential.
  • We specialize in next-gen SoCs, developing in house our own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth solutions through state-of-the-art architectures, designed for wireless audio, video, data, tracking and positioning

Adveos displayed its proficiency in ASIC solutions by successfully developing one of the first transceivers for Wi- Fi 6 applications. In 2018, when Wi-Fi 6 was introduced to the market, Adveos successfully launched a transceiver for a Wi-Fi 802.11ax chipset in collaboration with a customer. The final solution was a huge success when deployed in the market, especially as only a handful of semiconductor giants had developed competitive solutions for this technology at the time. Backed by Beken’s wireless industry expertise and far-reaching client base, Adveos could finally progress toward creating high-end marketable solutions within the wireless connectivity world.

“We specialize in next-gen SoCs, developing in house our own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth solutions through state-of-the-art architectures, designed for wireless audio, video, data, tracking and positioning.” states George Dimitropoulos, General Manager of Adveos.

Throughout its journey, Adveos harbored the vision of becoming a global player in the wireless space and consistently deliver advanced and novel solutions to the market. Moreover, Adveos is developing a new line of products to include Bluetooth-powered direction-finding solutions capable of calculating the angle of departure and arrival, focusing on indoor navigation and positioning as potential applications.
