A notable example is when an Italian company proposed to place a white LED on a circular light board with a diameter of 100mm, requiring a lumen value higher than 100,000lm. Knowing that the size and luminous efficiency of the existing LEDs could not meet the requirements of that customer, Luckylight’s engineers evaluated the project and used a newly developed 1616 SMD LED with small size and high luminous efficiency. The 1616 LED adopts a flip-chip structure and is directly soldered on the PCB. If a single lamp bead is defective, it can be removed and replaced. By reducing the scrap rate, Luckylight was able to provide significant cost savings to the customer.
